Harlequin is the journal of Michelle Yuen Jewelry. It is where we write about opal — how it forms, how it is cut, how to live with it — and about the thinking behind the pieces we make.

The name comes from the harlequin pattern: the rare, even mosaic of colour that appears in a small number of opals. It seemed a fitting name for a collection of separate pieces meant to be read as one body of work.
